Business fund-raisers have been roman around Hadrian’s Wall to collect cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
A 14-strong team from Leeds Building Society took on the 84-mile walk from Wallsend to Bowness over three days last month.
The group, including Morpeth Regional Manager Andrew Medling, dressed as Romans for the epic hike. The walkers hoped to raise £8,400 – £100 per mile. However, they have smashed the target, collecting almost £12,000.
The society is also selling rubber bracelets for the cancer charity in its branches.
