A teacher is showing his Will power after re-training to start a new business.
Morpeth man Chris Harris has launched Allery Will Writers to provide Will writing and storage, lasting power of attorney, trust and funeral planning services.
The qualified secondary school teacher, who also runs tuition service Allery Tutors, hopes to educate clients on the importance of Wills.
He said: “I have spent the last year re-training to become a financial advisor and have sat rigorous exams. It’s strange as I am used to teaching others how to pass exams successfully and now I have sat them myself.
“I am pleased that I am now able to use my skills as a teacher to help people understand the importance of a Will and the complexities of proper estate planning.
“As a teacher, I believe in educating people. You can make better decisions if you are informed in plain English, with less legal jargon.”

Mr Harris has made a series of short videos for his business website, explaining the different products and services on offer.
He will have a gazebo drop-in at Sanderson Arcade, Morpeth, on Friday, October 30, to enable people to find out more about his services, and offers free consultation in home visits.
Future plans include the introduction of insurance brokering and mortgage advice, as well as taking on staff to expand estate planning services.
