THERE was a special guest at St George’s celebrations at Belsay.
The man himself, complete with shining armour and a horse, called in to give demonstrations of his battle skills at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens.
The event would not be complete without a smoke-breathing dragon, standing three metres tall.
Dozens of families were entertained by St George themed activities at the weekend, including a Medieval Pageant, with townsfolk, musicians and nobles, military drill and mounted skill at arms.
Younger visitors were invited to try to hunt down the dragon.
