PLANS for a cafe at Hepscott’s horticultural centre are moving on after permission was granted for a log cabin.
The facility will be introduced to the Hepscott Park Horticultural Skills Unit to try to attract more customers to buy plants from the centre.
The prefabricated cabin will also provide a sheltered external seating area and the existing Quiet Garden at the site will be adapted to suit the cafe by reconfiguring paths.
There will also be a self-contained sales office in the cabin.
The plans were approved by Northumberland County Council officers under delegated powers.
