A car ended up on its side after an accident on the A1 in Northumberland earlier today.
At 6.28am, police received the report of a car on its side at the point where the dual carriageway becomes single-track road to the south of Felton.
By the time officers attended the scene, the occupants of the car were out of the vehicle and no one was injured. The vehicle has been recovered and there was no closure of the road.
The single-carriageway section of the A1 from Morpeth to the Felton bypass is due to be dualled, but there is not timescale as yet for this work, although consultation and surveys will start this year with enhancements north of Ellingham due to start in 2018.
