A TRIO of young Morpeth Catholic parishioners who will be helping young children overseas have received funding support from a local group.
Laura Johnson, Rebecca Johnson and Beth Margaret Lacy are going to do some vocational work at the Mari Luiza Orphanage in Buzovgrad, Bulgaria.
They each received a cheque for £250 from the Catenian Association National Bursary Fund to help with their travel costs after an application was made through the Morpeth Catenian Association.
The organisation is made-up of ‘circles’ of Catholic gentlemen and its aims include fostering friendship and developing and strengthening family values.
The Morpeth group meets each month at St Robert’s Church.
