Christmas cracker of a weekend in store

There's a Christmas cracker of a weekend lined up in Stobhill.

The festive fun has been arranged by Stobhill Community Forum.

It kicks off tomorrow with carol singing at the iLearn Centre on Shields Road at 5pm.

On Saturday, there’s Christmas arts and crafts for the under fives at Stobhill Children’s Centre, 10am to noon; and children’s crafts, Christmas sing-a-long and story-telling at Stobhillgate First School , 1pm to 3pm.

Sunday sees gifts, crafts and Santa at Stobhillgate First School, 10am to 2pm; and a living Nativity re-enacted around the streets, starting at St Aidan’s Church at 2pm.

There’s also an indoor ice rink, courtesy of Barnabas Safe and Sound, at its centre in Stobhill from noon to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission is £3 per person, including skate hire.
