Works to clear sections of sewer pipe totalling 450m in an area of Morpeth will start on Monday.
The Northumbrian Water cleansing project at Mathesons Gardens, Carlisle View and Waterside will involve jetting, removing any obstructions and re-lining the sections, but no digging will be necessary.
It is taking place to help reduce the risk of pollution in the area.
The company says that the works will not impact customers in any way and it hopes that they will be finished by the end of August.
They will be carried out between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday. There will be minor traffic management in place depending on the exact location of the works on the particular day.
The project will be delivered by contractors Esh-MWH and KwikFlow.
