COUNCILLORS are taking action to ensure better communication between authorities.
Morpeth Mayor Ken Brown says there has been concern in the town council that members are not always aware of what is going on at county level.
Now new measures have been introduced to try to address the issue.
Coun Brown said: “There was a little bit of concern about communication with the county council. We have had a discussion and the county council is looking to improve communications. We thought what we could do on our part is have an agenda item at the full council where we discuss the county council issues.
“We have two double-hatted members and we are proposing to invite the other two Morpeth representatives to future full council meetings.”
