Concert educated, intrigued and inspired
It was a pleasure to receive a concert from this Scottish group, consisting of Lis Dooner (flute), Steve Tees (viola) and Helen McLeod (harp).
Well known to audiences over the border, their programme consisted of French music (Ibert and Debussy), Scottish music (Maxwell Davies, McGuire and Oswald) and an English Baroque composer (Croft).

In addition we were educated, sometimes intrigued, and often inspired by these works for an unusual combination of instruments.
The next Alnwick Music Society Concert will take place at Alnwick Playhouse on Thursday, May 3.
It will feature BBC Young Musician Winner 2012 Laura Van Der Heijden on cello and pianist Piotr Liminov.
