I write with reference to my letter concerning 2nd. Lieut. James Johnson V.C, (Morpeth Herald, December 13).
I should have said that he was the only Northumberland-born recipient of the five VCs awarded to the Northumberland Fusiliers in World War I.
It has been drawn to my attention that the Regiment has won a total of 10 VCs.
