Crime prevention event in Morpeth about bank fraudsters
Northumbria Police is hosting a community event in Morpeth to help people protect themselves against fraudsters.
Staff from the Crime Prevention Team will be at the Barclays branch in Bridge Street on Tuesday between 10am and noon to offer tips about staying safe online.
Officers will also be available to answer questions from members of the public and give advice on issues such as banking fraud and scams, spotting fake emails, buying safely online, rogue traders and postal fraud.
They will also discuss doorstep crime prevention including courier fraud, distraction burglary and cold calling.
