Appeal to trace goods owners

RESIDENTS are being asked to help police return goods thought to have been stolen in Morpeth to their owners.

The property, which was taken either from insecure vehicles or premises, includes cash in various denominations, a green Barbour jacket, a grey and black North Face jacket, a Canon digital camera, a Panasonic Lumix camera and a hand-held GPS system.

Morpeth Neighbourhood Inspector Dave Simpson said: “If we can trace the owners, this will ease any financial loss to the victim and reassure people that the police are doing all they can to investigate such crimes.”

Anyone who recognises their property should contact officers on 101 – extension 69191.
