Commemorative coins stolen in burglary

Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Morpeth.

The incident happened between 10.30pm on Sunday and 10am on Monday at an address in Grange Road, Stobhill.

Coins – including commemorative coins for Churchill and the Queen’s Coronation – and medals were stolen, along with a black leather pilot style bag.

Officers are carrying out inquiries to locate the coins and medals and trace those responsible for the burglary.
