Dangers of stolen vet drugs

LETHAL drugs could be on the streets after they were stolen from a veterinary practice.

The burglary happened at a practice in the Meadowfield Industrial Estate in Ponteland at 8.30am on Monday.

Drugs taken are the type used to destroy animals, as well as anaesthetics, tranquillisers and sedatives. None are for human consumption and could prove fatal if taken.

Anyone who thinks they may have taken the drugs should seek immediate medical assistance.
