Log on to help beat crime

MORPETH residents are being invited to log on to a new way of discussing crime and disorder concerns with police.

The first online Partners And Communities Together meeting for the Morpeth police sector, which also includes villages such as Pegswood, Hadston, Hartburn, Widdrington Station, Mitford and Longhorsley, takes place on Wednesday.

This enables people to raise issues which affect them and their neighbourhood from the comfort of their own home.

Morpeth Neighbourhood Inspector Alison Best said: “I’m excited about this meeting because it will give residents the opportunity to raise things with us in an easily accessible way.”

It will be held between 7pm and 9pm. To take part, go to the Morpeth section of the Northumbria Police website at www.northumbria.police.uk
