OAPs fall prey to thieves

THIEVES have stolen satellite dish equipment from the homes of Morpeth pensioners.

The receiving arms, also known as LNBs, were taken from three properties in Challoners Gardens, High Stanners, between 10.30pm on Friday and 9am on Saturday.

A cutting device was used to remove the item from the dishes.

All of the householders affected were over 75.

Morpeth Neighbourhood Inspector Alison Best said: “Hopefully, the person or persons responsible will have their conscience pricked and come forward to admit what they have done.”

Anyone with information about the thefts should contact Morpeth police on 03456 043043.
