Police link farm trailer burglaries

TWO trailer burglaries near Morpeth are being linked by police.

The overnight raids in Mitford and Glororum both happened between Friday night and Saturday morning.

In Mitford an IFOR Williams trailer, worth £1,000, was stolen from a barn at a farm.

During the same time period a silver IFOR Williams trailer, model LMI26G, also worth around £1,000, was stolen from a barn in Glororum.

Morpeth Neighbourhood Sergeant Sharon Wilmore-Greaves said: “We believe these two crimes are linked and are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who saw suspicious activity in the areas to contact police.

“In particular, we’d like to hear from anyone who has been offered the trailers for sale, or who has information about where they are.

“We’re carrying out extensive enquiries and would like to reassure people that we continue to work hard to tackle thieves and burglars in the area.”
