THIEVES stole £700 from a Morpeth shopper after stealing her purse.

Two women took it from her bag between 3.20pm and 4pm on Thursday, April 12, when she was in the Hobbs store before going to a bank and obtaining the money from her bank account, as it is believed they had earlier seen her input her card PIN in another shop. One is described as being white, late 40’s and of medium build. She had long strawberry blonde hair and was wearing a dark jacket with a white scarf around her neck, she had dark leggings on and was carrying a large bag over her shoulder.

The second female was white, aged early 20’s and of slim build with long brown hair. She was wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
