Thieves saw down poles

METAL thieves have struck in a village near Morpeth.

Between noon on Friday, February 22, and 10.55am on Monday, February 25, offenders sawed down two telegraph poles and stole a length of metal cable from a field in the Hepscott area. The cable was discovered nearby.

Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area over the weekend to contact them on 101, extension 69191.
