Thousands of pounds of kit taken in burglary at hospital workshop

More than £8,000 of tools have been stolen in a burglary at a Morpeth hospital.

Thieves broke into a locked workshop in the grounds of Northgate Hospital between 4pm on Tuesday, November 18 and 8.30am the next day.

Items including Husqvarna chainsaws, Stihl and Lawnflite strimmers and Efco and Stihl leaf-blowers were taken, amounting to about £8,400 worth of equipment.
