Village youth disorder down

YOUTH disorder is down in Northumberland villages, residents have been told.

Community Beat Manager Paul Dent said that far fewer incidents had been reported in recent weeks in Widdrington Station and Stobswood than for the same period in previous years.

However, he said police will not lose focus on the issue.

“The abysmal summer weather probably has something to do with it, but there are certainly less cases of anti-social behaviour in the Community Park and other places. That is not to say that we are not keeping an eye on it,” he said.
