PONTELAND residents will have the chance to discuss policing issues with officers at two events in the week ahead.

On Saturday, a Policing Surgery will take place at Ponteland Library, Thornhill Road, from 11am to noon.

Those attending will be invited to mention any community concerns they have.

Then on Tuesday, a Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting will be held at the Sure Start building on Thornhill Road, starting at 9.30am.

These meetings are chaired by the police, but see involvement from partnership agencies as well.

Residents will also have the opportunity to receive crime prevention advice.
