Morpeth resident and member of its Lions club has recently returned from Japan with his wife Hilary.

Whilst there was a holiday element to the trip, the main purpose involved his membership of Lions.

In June, Dave was confirmed as District Governor and International Officer. This means he supports and leads the 36 clubs in his district, which includes all those in Scotland and the North East of England as far as Easingwold and Scarborough.

It also means he will have a lot of meetings and Charter Dinners to attend so fellow Morpeth members will be watching his waistline.

One of his priorities is, hopefully, to see a growth in membership throughout the district. Fortunately, the Morpeth Club has maintained a membership of 30 for the past three years — the only club in the district to do so.

Whilst his Morpeth members may not see as much of him as usual over the next year, they all know Dave will do his best for the organisation he leads and wish both him and Hilary every success.
