A SCHOOL finally got the chance to put on its festive performance.
Cambo First School was due to put on its Children of the World production in the Village Hall in December, but the heavy snow meant it had to be postponed.
However, it was re-arranged for last Thursday to give pupils the opportunity to show their acting and singing skills to parents and members of the community.
Headteacher Paula Cummings said: “We are so pleased that the snow stayed away, allowing our children to share with parents and the community the true meaning of Christmas.
“The shouts and screams of encore were still ringing in the children’s ears on Friday morning.
“The event was heralded as a major success by everyone who took part in or observed it — there wasn’t a spare seat or a dry eye anywhere in the venue.”
