Residents should have a say in what happens to the key sites in Morpeth.
I’m worried that the car park next to the now former library has been included in the Riverside site which has been put up for sale.
Given all the new homes being built in the town, we need more spaces, and I think the car park should be extended to include the former library site.
There is also an opportunity to develop the Willows and Beechfield House buildings into one and create a new heritage facility for the town that could also include a new library.
The county council is spending so much money in Ashington so it also needs to invest in Morpeth and other towns in the north and west areas of Northumberland, instead of just saying it on posters.
The leader and chief executive of the council should come along to a public meeting to explain their vision for Morpeth.
