Donors praised

THE Morpeth public have been praised after a Save the Children emergency collection in the town centre raised a total of £553 in three hours.

The money will help children suffering from malnutrition and dehydration in the Horn of Africa countries, which include Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia.

North East Area Volunteer Representative Pauline Duffy said: “We thank those who helped in our collection and the generous people of Morpeth who contributed so willingly to it.”
