ORGANISATIONS, businesses and charities are invited to be part of an event which will celebrate all things green and environmentally-friendly in Morpeth.
In support and celebration of the town’s entry into the Northumbria in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions, King Edward VI School is hosting a ‘Morpeth in Bloom Fest’ in Carlisle Park on Sunday, June 24.
It is free entry and a range of activities will take place, including exhibitions of the history of Carlisle Park and from local schools, entertainment from KEVI’s Mad Hatters, an opportunity to have your photograph taken with an Olympic Torch courtesy of KEVI student and Torchbearer Kate Charlton, a mini-Olympics to celebrate World Sports Day, face-painting, a bouncy castle, a treasure hunt for children and battle re-enactments by the Time Bandits group.
The event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, is also a networking and showcasing opportunity for green businesses, organisations and charities.
Those interested in having a stall on the day can email Sarah.Bulman@northumberland.gov.uk or telephone the school on 01670 515415.
A number of competitions will also take place at the event – more information can be found at the contact details above.
