Pals go down memory lane

OLD school pals will be taking a trip down memory lane in a 50th anniversary reunion.

The event has been organised by former King Edward VI Boys’ Grammar School pupil Les Dixon for classmates who joined the Morpeth school in 1961.

About 30 old boys have already confirmed their attendance, and while many still live in the north east, some are travelling from Devon, London and Manchester to take part.

It is believed to be the first reunion for the year group, though some members met up during the school’s 450th anniversary celebrations.

The reunion will be held at Morpeth Rugby Club on Saturday, September 17 at 7pm.
