Staff and students at a Morpeth school wore some colourful, comfy footwear to lessons in aid of children in poverty.
Those who participated in the Slippers for Shelter initiative included Newminster Middle School and Technology College.
People across the country were asked to make a donation to the charity in return for wearing slippers at work, school or college. Newminster raised a total of £137.38.
The money will be used to help find young people currently in overcrowded or dangerous accommodation a better place to live.
