STAR quality came shining through for three Morpeth students as they picked up top marks in all their A-Level subjects.
King Edward VI School students Jonathan Foster, Jonathan Spencer and Richard Healicon all achieved a run of straight A* grades in their chosen subjects.
And for Jonathan Foster the hard work was over by January as he took his three exams early and had already secured a place at Oxford. He left school early this year to take up work placements in advance of his university course.
Both Jonathan Spencer and Richard Healicon attained four A* grades.
Richard, who achieved the results in biology, chemistry, physics and maths, said: “I didn’t really expect my results to be like that.
“It was really bad waiting for them and I was up so early in the morning to get them.
“When I got the envelope I walked away from everyone to open it, just in case it wasn’t good, but it was really exciting. I’m still shaking.”
The 18-year-old, who lives in Longhorsley, will be heading to Oxford to study medicine and hopes to become a doctor.
