TERRIFIC twins Anna and Amy Rodway are quite a double act when it comes to exam success.
The pair, who live at Longwitton, got identical grades in their A-Levels, each claiming two As and a B.
Amy achieved A grades in psychology and sociology, with a B in English, while Anna claimed As in French and biology, with a B in classics.
Amy said: “Whenever we did the same subjects we helped each other, but it has been pretty stressful at home.
“We have both been in bad moods, but the night before the results wasn’t too bad because we did manage to sleep.”
Anna added: “Because we are so different, with me doing languages and Amy doing sciences, we haven’t really been in the same classes.
“It was very nerve-racking going to get the results and we didn’t have any breakfast, but I think Mum was probably as nervous as we were.”
Both girls, who attend King Edward VI School, will now go on to Newcastle University, with Amy due to study psychology and Anna opting for French and Spanish.
“We did think about going to different universities, but we both really liked Newcastle,” said Amy.
Anna said: “We wouldn’t mind being at separate universities, but it is nice if Amy is there at Newcastle and it is quite close to home.”
