AN Easter Eggstravaganza will be held at a Morpeth shopping centre this weekend – with two egg hunts.
Sanderson Arcade will present a range of entertainment on Saturday, including Easter-themed stilt walkers, free face painting and balloon modelling.
There will also be an egg hunt in the centre where children will have to find missing letters in a number of shop windows and rearrange them to receive a free gift. Meanwhile, Barluga Morpeth will be offering its own egg hunt.
Beflore the event, which starts at 11am, children are invited to submit entries for the centre’s first Easter Egg Design competition. The eggs will be displayed in shop windows for judging, with prizes in two age categories, four to seven-year-olds, and eight to 11.
To enter simply take your egg to the Sanderson Arcade Management Suite by noon tomorrow.
Centre Manager Medi Parry said: “We are very excited about Easter this year. We have lots of entertainment and family giveaways on Saturday and we are also looking forward to seeing the entries for the Easter Egg Design competition, where local talent will be on display.”
