Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has recently welcomed a group of new apprentices to the business, including two at its Morpeth site.
The company has recruited 72 apprentices across the country since 2014 as part of an on-going commitment to support the development of new talent and encourage a diverse workforce in the UK.
The programme also gives new talent the opportunity to gain experience in a range of different roles.
The new recruits in Morpeth include Emma Fannon, an engineering apprentice.
Emma chose to go down the apprenticeship route to gain first-hand experience in the workplace, while also continuing her studies in a college environment – something she believes will provide her with a more ‘rounded’ understanding of engineering.
She added: “I was immediately drawn to CCEP as it is such a large, well-known company with a good reputation.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the other engineers and apprentices on site and drawing upon their experience and expertise.
“As well as being able to put my college learning into practice, doing an apprenticeship with CCEP will enable me to have a genuine impact on the business by supporting the running of production lines and helping to diagnose any issues.”
