A COUNTY organisation is among the bodies offering a new free family support programme.
Relate Northumberland and Tyneside, along with two other Relate groups, is piloting Kids’ Turn — which aims to reduce the conflict children are exposed to when their parents split up.
It consists of six 90-minute sessions that give the whole family the opportunity to learn new skills to cope with changes and navigate through the impact of divorce or separation. Kids’ Turn also allows children to have a voice and have their needs and wishes heard.
Jayne Butler, Operations Manager of Relate Northumberland and Tyneside, said: “Separation can be difficult for the whole family and we are pleased to be able to offer families a programme that will be able to help the whole family cope during this difficult time.”
