It will haul The Tynesider in a trip organised by The Railway Touring Company on a journey that starts in Cleethorpes.

After going to Newcastle and parts of Northumberland, it will stop in Morpeth for the steam locomotive to take on water. It will return to Newcastle via the East Coast Main Line.

To avoid the potential for overcrowding at certain locations, Network Rail will not be proactively issuing timings for Flying Scotsman journeys, although the train is expected to arrive in Morpeth in early or mid-afternoon.

Meanwhile, fans are being urged by Network Rail and the British Transport Police to keep off the tracks as the train approaches Morpeth.
