A group of residents has been invited to the second Ponteland Winter Warmer on Saturday.
The event is specifically aimed at those aged over 55 – they will be able to find out information about keeping safe and warm in winter and get advice on support services and aids in the home.
It is being organised by Ageing Well in Ponteland, together with Northumbria Healthcare Trust, and is supported by local organisations.
There will be details about the county council’s handyman and telecare services, as well as activities and lunch clubs available during winter months.
Refreshments will be available during the event, which will take place at St Mary’s Church Hall, Thornhill Road, from 9.30am to 1pm.
The hopper bus will be available on the day. To book your place, call Brian Prickett on 01661 825129.
