Getting crafty over coffee

GET crafty over a cup of coffee at a garden centre near Morpeth on Sunday.

Heighley Gate Nursery & Garden Centre is hosting a Craft and Coffee Club session. Those taking part will need to provide their own basic equipment and can join in with the activities on offer or bring along a project they have already started.

Events Co-ordinator Sarah Tait said: “The club is ideal for anyone who enjoys creative projects.

“The informal mornings are very sociable affairs and are fun for all, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter. There is always something to learn from the other crafters in the group and people leave with fresh ideas and new techniques to try.”

The session starts at 9.30am and tickets cost £3 per person, which includes tea or coffee.

People will also get 10 per cent off full price products in the garden centre’s craft department on the day of the workshop – they can be reserved at the customer services desk.
