Girl, 12, robbed in Northumberland

It happened on Monday July 18, at 1.40pm when a 12-year-old girl was walking along Ord Road in Tweedmouth, near the Tesco store.

She stopped to tie her shoelaces when she was approached by two youths. They barged into her and stole £30 in cash from her hand. They also punched her arm several times but she did not require medical treatment.

The male youths responsible are both described as aged 15 - 16 years, with local accents. One had short blond hair and was wearing a black Addidas t-shirt and white shoes. The second had short brown hair and was wearing a baseball type cap and blue T-shirt and appeared tanned.

Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
