A total of 24 ladies came from near, far and wide to Linden Hall for a special reunion lunch.
They had all been pupils at Morpeth Girls Grammar School between 1959 and 1966 and most had not met for 50 years. Some of them now live abroad, for example, USA, Crete and Berlin in Germany. Others came from various points between Edinburgh and the south of England and some had stayed in the area.
One of the women in attendance, Jennifer Sharp, said: “It was as if the clock had just stopped and the general feeling was that nobody had significantly changed.
“It was wonderful to share so many happy memories.
“People came up with such a variety of little stories that might, one day, make interesting reading for pupils currently at school in Morpeth.”
Anyone who was part of the class who did not know about the reunion or could not attend is invited to email their memories to Jennifer – firstname.lastname@example.org
