Everyone is welcome, members of any church or none, to attend the sessions that started this week.

Lent 2017 – Receiving Christ in Five Different Ways will continue to run for the next month.

The groups include one at Morpeth Methodist Church on Tuesdays and a house group on Thursdays.

On Wednesday evenings, there will be guided reflections on the issues raised in the film I, Daniel Blake.

Tuesday and Wednesday sessions about the Gospels are being held at St Mary’s Parish Church, Stannington.

During Holy Week, as well as holding their own services to which everyone is welcome, the churches come together on Good Friday (April 14) for an ecumenical service at Morpeth Methodist Church at 10am prior to the traditional Walk of Witness from St James’ Church at 11.30am.

There is also a dawn service in the Market Place at 6am on Easter Sunday (April 16).
