ALL the show table competitions will be keenly contested at an annual village event on Saturday.
The Hebron Show, which is being held for the fourth time, is sharpening up vegetable growing, particularly in the potato and turnip classes.
The food section is divided into garden and kitchen produce and the judges will be Helen Moran (household) and Peter Law (garden).
In the non-competitive classes this year, the emphasis is placed on the arts, including paintings, photography, needlework and woodworking crafts.
The Village Hall, located in St Cuthbert’s Church, will be open to entries from people of all ages between noon and 2.30pm. It will re-open for viewing at 5pm when the winners are announced.
At 5.30pm, the Hebron Community Association AGM will commence and this will be followed by refreshments and the chance to agree or disagree with the judges’ decisions.
Some of the winners donate their tasty treats and a licensed bar will run with voluntary contributions to 9pm.
