A series of hanging basket workshops will be taking place on Friday and Saturday at the Hepscott Park Horticultural Skills Unit, which is adjacent to the Garden Café.

The sessions cost £9 – this covers the costs of the plants, the hanging basket and assistance from a resident plant expert.

The Horticultural Skills Unit is a Northumberland County Council service that provides adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to learn and practise gardening skills.

All plants have been lovingly grown from either seed or cuttings, so they are hardier than those imported from Europe.

Any proceeds from the workshops will be reinvested back into the important service.

The sessions will be fun and informal and they are open to all ages.

There is no need to book. Just drop-in between 10.30am and 4pm on either day.
