EXTRA help is now at hand to beat the post Christmas bulge in an outdoor boot camp.
The Outdoor Fitness Company (ODFC) has set up sessions in Morpeth and Ponteland to help people get fit without the constraints of a gym.
The group, which was founded by ex-military and ITV’s Bad Lads’ Army trainer Gary Nash in 2002, provides daytime and evening hour-long sessions, promising to deliver high impact military style training in a fun, friendly and social environment.
Mr Nash said: “The launch of boot camps at a series of locations across the North East makes our classes even more accessible to the people of Northumberland.
“Whether people are taking their first steps into starting exercise, or looking for an alternative way to keep fit outside of the gym, we will work with every member to ensure they are exercising at an appropriate level for them.
“All members of ODFC can attend any of our classes and with over 35 sessions taking part each week all across the region, in rain or shine, there is no reason not to get fit outdoors.”
The Morpeth group meets in Newgate Street every Tuesday and Thursday at 5.30pm and on Saturdays at 8am. In Ponteland the group meets at the Memorial Hall on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9.30am.
