Flood-hit businesses in Northumberland are being given the chance to announce that they’re back in action, thanks to a new interactive map launched by Northern Powerhouse Minister James Wharton.
Mr Wharton said the initiative would help communities throughout the county let the country know that they are getting back on their feet after being washed out by record-breaking wet weather in December.
Flooding in the aftermath of Storm Desmond and Storm Eva affected more than 80 businesses in Northumberland.
“We are determined to do everything we can to support those businesses affected by flooding this winter,” said Mr Wharton.
“Already, 150 businesses have put their pins in the map, and I would urge others to follow their lead.”
