PEOPLE of all ages are invited to Meldon Park tomorrow for an afternoon of fun in aid of a cancer charity.
Emily Cookson and staff at the park’s Kitchen Garden Cafe are holding a Blooming Great Tea Party, which will include free tea, coffee and juice, a cake stall, raffle, tombola, bouncy castle and a naming the dragon competition.
All the money raised will help Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or one of the charity’s hospices.
Mrs Cookson said: “It’s going to be a fantastic event and a great way to get together with friends and old and new.”
The event, from 4.30pm to 7pm, is one of many that are taking place across the country as part of Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign.
To hold a tea party telephone 08700 340040 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/teaparty for a free fund-raising pack.
