IT’S party time for the nation’s heart charity and Northumberland residents are all invited.
The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month so to get in the spirit of the occasion, the charity is encouraging people to hold a fund-raising 1960s themed party in its honour.
And to get things started, it has set up a party planning page on its website, full of music, food, fancy dress and general fund-raising ideas.
It is also asking people who are celebrating a birthday or other event to consider donating to the charity’s Mending Broken Hearts Appeal that seeks to raise funds for research into heart conditions.
Northumberland Fund-raising and Volunteer Manager Stephen Layden said: “We hope as many people as possible will help us celebrate this milestone with fun-filled fundraising.”
