A Ponteland teenager who won a title at a national pageant is seeking business support to enter an extra category at an international contest.
Juliette Taylor has impressed the judges at a few different competitions across various categories and of particular note has been her fund-raising efforts for good causes.
Last July, she was successful in the Junior Teen category at Royal UK Miss in Blackpool.
As a result, the 15-year-old will be among the participants at the Royal International Miss pageant in Orlando, Florida, which is six weeks away.
Since last summer, Juliette has raised more than £3,500 for Together for Short Lives by producing charity calendars and donated some of her hair to The Little Princess Trust, which provides free real-hair wigs to children who lose their hair during cancer treatment.
She was named Young Fund-raiser of the Year by St Oswald’s Hospice and won the Most Inspirational Queen (16 years and under) title at the Natural Sparkle Magazine 2016 Awards.
Juliette’s mum, Jill Taylor, said: “Her win last July gives her free entry into the international pageant and the family will be covering the extra costs of our trip not covered by the competition organisers.
“However, there are optional rounds that cost $150 and the Role Model round is totally suited to Juliette as it’s all about teaching young women leadership skills through giving back to others.
“We are looking for business sponsors that might like to help and in return, Juliette can help them by appearing at their fund-raising events.”
