THE last 2012 garden waste collections from homes in Northumberland are due to take place during the weeks beginning November 12 and November 19 – depending on where you live.
The county council provides a collection service for garden waste from properties in a number of areas across the county from spring to autumn each year.
Homes that subscribe receive a wheeled bin which can be filled with leaves, grass, hedge and tree cuttings, and other similar materials.
Waste is turned into compost that can be used as a soil improver or purchased from Household Waste Recovery Centres across Northumberland.
