Youngsters are organising a fund-raising event in aid of a cancer charity.
After going on two weeks of residentials, one of the Northumberland groups on the National Citizen Service programme decided to do their activity to collect some money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Their coffee morning is taking place in Morpeth Town Hall on Saturday from 10am to noon.
One of the organisers, Bethany Hunter, said: “We decided to support Macmillan because someone in the group has two family members who have been affected by cancer and I’ve made wigs for the charity.
“The event will include bake sales, fun activities such as guessing how many sweets are in the jar, a tombola and a sponsored hair shave.”
Macmillan provides specialist healthcare, information and financial support to those who have cancer.
